Adverse effects (AEs) were reported in 1-12% of patients treated with steroids, antivirals or placebo. The AEs reported were dyspepsia, loss of blood sugar control, headache, fatigue, dizziness and insomnia, recurrent duodenal ulcers, mood swings, and acute psychosis.
