Exploring Pathogenesis and Treatment of Hypercalcemia Caused by Intramuscular Injection of Paraffinoil

The aim of the study is to characterize paraffin oil induced granulomatous disease. We will investigate pathogenesis and natural history of paraffin disease. Subsequently, through further translational studies, we intend to identify novel treatments to be tested in future randomized clinical trials.

A Neuropsychological Test Battery for the Assessment of Time Deficits

Time processing involves different abilities - i.e. estimating the duration of an event and moving in past and future time - and it is a fundamental ability in everyday life. For these reasons the assessment and the rehabilitation of time deficits in brain damaged patients is extremely important. The ability …

The Effect and Mechanism of lncRNA NBR2 Regulating Endothelial Pyroptosis by Targeting GSDMD in Sepsis

One of the most important pathophysiologic hallmarks in sepsis is vascular endothelial injury that contributes to the severity and outcome of the syndrome. Effective treatments for endothelial cell injury in sepsis have been lacking to improve prognosis.

Highly Suppressive Treg in Delayed and Slow Graft Function After Kidney Transplantation

Delayed/slow graft function is the most common complication after kidney transplantation with an incidence over 20% and is the result of ischemia-reperfusion injury. The increased use of marginal kidney grafts to palliate the organ shortage is leading to a continued rise in the incidence of delayed/slow graft function.

Cancer Therapy Effects on the Heart

However, current strategies for identifying patients who are at risk prior to the development of significant changes in heart function are limited. This study will focus on imaging markers of cardiac injury and dysfunction with the goal of developing improved diagnostic tests and treatment strategies.

Effect of FFRCT-angio in Functional Diagnosis of Coronary Artery Stenosis

However, FFR does have some limitations, such as risks of pressure wire injury, extra time and cost, and side effects of hyperemic agents. To overcome the limitations of FFR, CTA- and CAG-based methods to functionally assess coronary stenosis were proposed, i.e.
